FundsSchool

Is FundsSchool really free?

Yes. Every chapter, quick check, practice test, practice mock and the Final exam are free, on the web and in the app. There are no ads and no paid tier.

Which NISM exams does it cover?

NISM Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors), V-D (SIF and Mutual Fund Distributors), XIII (Common Derivatives) and XXI-A (PMS Distributors). There is also an investor track on mutual funds, SIPs, goals and tax.

Are these the real NISM exam questions?

No. Every question is original practice material written by FundsSchool to the official syllabus and exam pattern. NISM does not publish its exam questions, and nobody should claim to have them.

Do I get a NISM certificate from FundsSchool?

No. You book and take the exam with NISM, which issues the certificate. FundsSchool gives a preparation certificate that shows you finished our programme; it is not NISM certification.

Do I need KYC or a bank account to sign up?

No. The app only needs your name, email and a password. There is nothing to invest and no KYC.

Is my progress on the website saved?

Your XP, streak, badges and chapters read on this website are stored only in this browser. They do not sync to the app yet; account sync is planned for a later update.

How long does it take to get NISM V-A ready?

Most learners need two to four weeks at about 25 minutes a day: 12 chapters, then practice mocks, then the Final exam. Set your exam date in the app and it plans every day for you.

Who makes FundsSchool?

FundsSchool is published by FundsApp Wealth Technologies Private Limited, Chennai, an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-327453). FundsSchool is education first: it does not sell or recommend any investment product.

I run a college placement cell. How do we take part?

Write to school@fundsapp.com. We send a standee and brochures free of cost, and you share the app link in your student groups. No tie-up or sessions needed.

NISM exams

What is NISM?

The National Institute of Securities Markets, an educational institution set up by SEBI. It runs the certification exams that SEBI requires for many market roles, from mutual fund distribution to derivatives and portfolio management.

Do I need a degree or work experience?

No minimum education or experience is required for NISM V-A. To get an ARN from AMFI afterwards you must be 18 or older and have a PAN. Check the NISM portal for the rules of the exam you choose.

Where do I take the exam?

At an NISM test centre, on a computer. You book the centre, date and slot on the NISM portal, and the result shows on screen when you submit.

How long is a NISM certificate valid?

Three years. For V-A you can renew through NISM’s Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programme instead of sitting the exam again. Your ARN validity follows the certificate, so note the date.

Can I retake the exam if I fail?

Yes. Enrol again on the portal and pay the fee again. Use the gap to rework the chapters where you lost marks.

Does FundsSchool book my exam or take a fee?

No. You register and pay NISM directly on certifications.nism.ac.in. FundsSchool takes no part of the fee and is not affiliated with NISM.

Is a FundsSchool certificate the same as NISM certification?

No. Our certificate shows you completed the FundsSchool preparation programme. Only NISM issues NISM certificates, after you pass its exam.
